Maya Ganatra is a Senior Insight Strategist at Wonderlust, where she specializes in uncovering insights to drive strategic business objectives. She has an insatiable curiosity for teasing out the cultural threads that drive consumer behavior.
Maya has over 15 years of experience in Marketing and Market Research beginning her career with the Estee Lauder Companies in NY. There she discovered her love for marketing research which she wove throughout her career in consulting, product development and marketing. She has experience working with leading consumer product brands and small start-ups alike and has the creative insight to tailor strategies to meet each client's individual objectives.
Maya holds an MA in Communication Culture and Technology from Georgetown University and a BA in Spanish and International Studies. Her academic research explored the intersection of global consumer culture and new digital communications technology along with culture studies employing semiotics and ethnography. She is a lifelong learner and has studied Italian, Spanish and French and is always on the lookout for opportunities to enrich her knowledge of just about anything.
Maya, was born in Korea and has lived in Africa, Europe and all over the United States. These immersive experiences have enriched her life and helped to guide her curiosities into culture and communication. Melding of different cultures shows up in her work and personal life – in cooking, decorating and finding things she loves.
